Bentley Brooklands from 1993, originally sold in California, imported to the EU in 2021. The Brooklands replaces the Bentley Eight and Mulsanne models and brings changes such as a painted radiator grille in the car’s color, the relocation of the gearshift from under the steering wheel to the center console, a smoother 4-speed automatic transmission, and all badges are in green instead of the standard red. The move away from chrome feels more modern, and the Brooklands still fits in quite well with the present. Revision of the active damping improves the driving experience at both low and high speeds. The engine is equipped with more economical and reliable injection. Driving this particular car is very comfortable due to its large service history. Given its origin in sunny California, the car is in excellent original condition and free of corrosion. The chassis has the original factory paint and nothing has been repainted. The engine offers stable idling and good acceleration, with emission control at the level of a new engine. The gearshift is smooth and quiet. The steering, front end, and chassis are all precise even at high speeds. The 4x25W audio system is equipped with an amplifier and a 6-CD changer. Latest service: New engine and transmission oils and filters. Renovation of the wooden and leather interior - a trade-off for living under the sun. Air conditioning compressor leak and filling with R134a. Repair of the lumbar air bags of the front seats. Previous service history includes in particular: Complete engine service, coolant, fuel filter, ignition cables, NGK spark plugs, oxygen sensor, V-belts including distributor drive, air conditioning hoses and expansion valve (transition from R12 to R134a refrigerant). Hydraulic overhaul and replacement of all hydropneumatic balls including fluid. New power steering. Replacement of brake discs and pads, brake system overhaul, brake circuit sealing and fluid replacement, cooling circuit sealing. Bentley cars often have problems with neglected electronics maintenance, which is why all control units and controls have undergone a complete overhaul with the replacement of dried-out capacitors and batteries. I am adding a service history and invoices to the car, including a complete history of owners and a clean CARFAX. I also have a rare original driver's handbook, original American sealed headlamps and some small spare parts. The mandatory vehicle equipment is complete, including a spare wheel. The car is often in operation and therefore does not suffer from the ailments of unmaintained stationary cars. I am currently working long-term outside Eindhoven and have a car with me in the Czech Republic where it is available for inspection or test drive.
